“ATIN TO!” to Chicken Mcdo George Yang’s
George Yang, the owner and founder of McDonald’s Philippines, has enlisted rising superstars SB19 members — Pablo, Ken, Stell, Josh, and Justin — as the latest endorsers for Chicken McDo. Mr. Yang, a talented opera singer and savvy marketer, skillfully positioned the product to win over chicken-loving Filipinos. SB19 made history as the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act nominated for the Top Social Artist category at the Billboard Music Awards, following Vice Ganda’s successful relaunch of Chicken McDo last year. Recently, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes showcased a musical performance that added excitement for Chicken McDo, known for its “dinosaur-size” portions.
“We’re thrilled to welcome SB19,” says Adi Timbol-Hernandez, McDonald’s Philippines’ AVP for Corporate Relations and Impact. She added that it’s a fantastic collaboration, promising more feel-good moments for customers.
Just before the announcement, McDonald’s Philippines hinted at a new “Ninang” on social media, leading SB19 fans, known as A’tin, to speculate about the endorsement. An exclusive video for A’tin soon followed, featuring a single celebrating the band’s love for Chicken McDo.
The campaign centers on McDonald’s one-piece Chicken McDo Sulit Busog Meal, available for Php99 nationwide. With SB19 joining in, fans will have much to anticipate this August!
